Nauticat 33

Nauticat 33 from 1977 in a good condition. The uncrowned queen of motorsailors ready for new adventures.

Nauticat 33, Lots have been written about the yachts from Nauticat, and especially the 33 has been stamped as Siltala Yachts ”Grand Old Lady”, and by many judged as the uncrowned queen of all motor sailors.

 

Nauticat 33 has become a classic and probably particularly this ketch rigged version with a wooden deckhouse is the model most people identify as a motor sailor.

 

This particular boat is one of the absolutely last of this version prior to Siltala Yard changing the design to the later popular poop version 33 at the end of 1977.
Since its birth back in 1966, a total of 1172 Nauticat 33 have been build up until 1997, when the successor Nauticat 331: was launched. And prais seems to have no ending: ”One of the most spacious”, ”Handles all kinds of weather” and ”Extreme sea worhty” all of which confirms her reputation of quality.

This Nauticat 33 is in a good condition of her age, and present and previous owners have taken good care of her. Present owner has fixed up all the little things that neede LTC and she is now just ready to cast off and head out.
She has the original Ford power plant 4,3 liter 80 HP with ”only” 4150 hour on the clock. As she has been taken well care of, this is not much for such an engine.

She has recently got new SS diesel tanks and a new plastic water tank. Her sails are in a good condition, the teak decks are good as she has been stored inside every winter.
 

You will find an anchor winch forward with chain and another aft electric with rope and a remote control.

This 33 has also recently had a bowthruster installed, making harbour maneuvers very easy in any condition of weather.
