Yachtbroker
Copenhagen / Denmark East

Michael Staufeldt is our broker for Denmark and Northern Germany. He has been working in the maritime business through most of his working life. Michael started his career at sea, but soon decided to come ashore becoming technically and operational responsible within business management in the maritime sector.

Michael has spent more than 16 years as a project manager and MD abroad together with his family in Germany, UK, Sweden and Africa. His latest assignment was as a MD of a Swedish Dutch joint venture delivering harbourtug services in Scandinavia and the Baltics. Michael has his base in his office just north of Copenhagen.

Ever since Michael decided for the maritime career, he has been addicted to leisure sailing. Already during his cadet time, the free time was spent racing dinghies in Alssund. Right after his first assignment as a mate he bought himself his first boat. Ever since there has been a boat in his family, and there has been a few; IF, Maxi95, Great Dane 28, Larsen 25, Bianca 107, Folkboat, Hanse 400, a Halberg Rassy 37 and lately a 43 year old classic Hallberg Rassy 38. In total, it comes to more than 40 years of cruising Scandinavia, Northern Europe and the UK in his own boat.

Whether it comes to commercial or leisure vessels, Michael knows his business. Technically there is not a situation he has not experienced somehow and in case you have a kick on the tugboat business, do settle down for an interesting story or two.

Michael is native Danish, but speaks English, German and Swedish fluently. He still has his Masters Certificate having kept it up to date from having done ad hoc services on board the vessels he has managed.
