Maxi 33 from 1988

Pelle Petterson designed the Maxi 33 based on the hull of the Maxi 999. He made the rig a little shorter, added a heavier wing keel and designed a midship cockpit with a fixed windshield a la the Orust boats. The Maxi 33 was an immediate success and over the course of 12 years, about 800 examples were built. This is one of the last built with building no. 722.
Inside, the boat contains everything you could wish for in terms of comfort with a nice saloon with plenty of seating and storage space. Pantry with gas stove/oven, cooler and double sink with h/c water. A fore cabin with a large double berth and a passage to a large aft cabin with two real sea berths. You also have access to the aft cabin directly from the cockpit. If you want, you can also convert the salon itself into additional sleeping places, so you get a total of 6-7 beds. Of course, there is also a large toilet room with electric toilet, septic tank and 2-way emptying.

The cockpit is deep with relatively high sides and the fantastic fixed windscreen cover. There is a full cockpit tent, which turns the cockpit into an extra living room when berthed. All halyards and trim lines are pulled to the cockpit for easy sail handling.
This model has new sails from 2022 and the mainsail drops into a lazypack. The current owner has had the boat since 1998 and has continuously updated the boat (see equipment list in pdf, which you can download from our website).
The boat is completely ready to sail, which means that the new owner can just cast off and enjoy the rest of the season.
