A beautiful steel boat for sale. Custom-built by Van Rossum in 1980 in the Netherlands.
Zenobia II is a steel-hulled boat built at the Van Rossum shipyard in the Netherlands in 1980. She is in excellent condition, close to the original design, and serves both as a seaworthy vessel for archipelago cruising and as a comfortable, more stationary liveaboard, which she has been used for during summers in Blekinge. She is equipped with an oil-fired boiler and a waterborne heating system, allowing for comfortable living even on colder days.
The boat has recently undergone a survey and was also hauled out for maintenance work. While on the slipway, the anodes were replaced and the hull was freshly antifouled to keep her in top condition for the coming seasons. At the same time, an ultrasonic hull thickness measurement was carried out, which – just like the survey – showed everything to be in excellent shape.
The owners live abroad and have used the boat as a home base during their visits to Sweden.
Owner of the Van Rossum shipyard in the Netherlands personally designed and built her for himself in 1980 upon his retirement. The current owners purchased Zenobia in 2016 from a family in Denmark, who had in turn bought her ten years earlier directly from the shipyard.
Thus, the boat has only had three owners.
When Zenobia arrived in Sweden, she was registered in the Swedish Ship Registry and underwent an official vessel measurement. She has a length of 14.80 meters, a maximum beam of 4.30 meters, and a draft of approximately 1.80 meters.
The interior is predominantly teak and retains its original design. The galley is compact but well-equipped with a gas stove, microwave, small fridge, and freezer that run on either gas or electricity. The dining area accommodates at least five people.
A spacious, bright saloon is directly connected to the helm station. Below deck, there is a fully tiled bathroom with a bathtub, along with two smaller cabins and a larger captain’s cabin with a double bed.
The aft deck features an outdoor seating area with space for a dining table or lounge set, and on the roof, there is a sun deck. A newer inflatable dinghy with a 4-horsepower outboard motor is included.
Zenobia is equipped with a 1,500-liter holding tank and a 2,500-liter freshwater tank, allowing for extended cruising without needing to dock. The boat has an electrical system with 220V shore power (or via inverter/generator) as well as 12V and 24V systems for operation at sea or during power outages.
The engine is a Mercedes OM 360 with 160 horsepower, according to the Dutch registration documents.
