Triton 25

The Triton 25 is a well-built Archipelago cruiser capable of handling most conditions in any weather. The boat is manufactured by Thorwald Karlsson Marin AB. This boat features a generously sized Volvo Penta Kad 42 engine with a new drive unit installed in 2023. There's a well-designed cabin with a helm station, kitchen, toilet with standing height, and seating around a table for 4 adults. The boat is suitable for leisure cruising, transport/commuting, and would make a fantastic sport fishing vessel.

The hull has an 18-degree V-shape and is rounded along the centerline to keep as much of the drive unit as possible above the waterline. The outer chine is a full 15cm wide aft to provide substantial lift while underway and to inhibit leaning. It tapers forward and is also angled downward 2 degrees to reduce bow wave while lifting the bow under heavy loads. The hull's wedge-like design allows the Triton 25 to plane without porpoising for increased comfort and reduces wave roll within a certain speed range. There are 2 step chines on each side of the bottom.

The freeboard has an additional 50mm wide chine aft, tapering forward. This provides strong structural reinforcement to the hull sides and, together with the slightly outward-leaning hull sides, contributes to increasing the overall width to promote side deck width alongside the helm cabin.

The deck module, which also serves as a railing, is bonded and laminated to the hull and equipped with a convenient staircase in the bow for ease of boarding and disembarking. The staircase is hinged, providing storage space underneath. Additional storage is available under the watertight hatch in the deck. One storage bench with storage is securely fastened to the deck on each side. The engine room is accessible through the large watertight hatch on the aft deck and via easily removable side panels below deck. Deck and deck hatches are constructed with sandwich laminate divinycell or balsa as spacer material. The side deck width around the helm cabin is approximately 50 cm to starboard and about 40 cm to port. The railing is approximately 70 cm above deck excluding the stainless steel rail. The hip-height railing enhances the feeling of safety on board.

The deckhouse is of sandwich construction and is bolted and glued to the deck's U-beam structure. The cabin is equipped with an approximately 55 cm wide sliding door on each side. All glass, including the sliding doors and cabin windows, is tempered glass and mounted with rubber seals. The aft part of the helm cabin is slightly lower and serves as an external helm and passenger seat. The boat has dual controls.

The helm cabin railing extends aft, serving as backrests and armrests for both the helmsman and passengers. Two steps towards the underside facilitate boarding and disembarking.

Interior: Aft in the cabin, there are 4 berths with ample width. 2 on each side, with the front ones extending under the seats in the helm cabin. Berth bottoms are painted plywood, placed directly on the inner lining's beam system to prevent condensation. Storage compartments are available under these berths.

In the front part of the cabin, the helm position is to starboard and a passenger seat to port. In front of the passenger seat, towards the windshield, there is a pantry with a 2-burner gas stove and a sink with freshwater. Practical drawers for storage are located under the bench. More storage is available under the passenger seat. There is a storage cabinet under the helm seat. In front of the helm seat are the steering wheel controls and electronics. The fuse panel is located under the wheel on the bulkhead.

The toilet compartment is accessed from the front of the helm cabin via double doors and a hatch in the ceiling. The ceiling height in the toilet is slightly lower than the rest of the boat, at 1.8m. The toilet is mounted on the starboard side. In the middle, there is a sink with running water. To port, inside the bulkhead, the septic tank is positioned with a short hose straight up to the discharge cap.

Fittings and equipment: Sturdy plastic support rails. Bow rails, also known as shark fins, in the bow. Stainless steel railings around the entire boat with an opening at the stern on each side. A stainless steel tubular structure with teak ribs serves as seating at the external helm and passenger seat.
