Katana is an unusually beautiful and an unusually well-sailing 40-foot One Off archipelago cruiser. The boat was first launched in 2010.
Katana was purchased by its current owner in 2000. The hull was originally cast in 1980, but not completed by its previous owner and constructor.
Over a period of 10 years, the boat was completed by, among others, the well-known Funen boat builder Nicolaj Fyhn. The keel was redesigned, the superstructure built with new windows and all accommodation completed over the next 10 years. The boat was first launched in 2010. The boat is therefore in practice only 15 years old!
Katana sails fantastically with its sails from 2019. On the leeward side there is plenty of room for 2 adults and children can also join in. The galley is equipped with a 2-burner alcohol stove. In the relatively low cockpit, the crew sits well protected. In port, a table can be set up on a Laguna swivel frame.
A 14 HP Nani diesel engine has been installed. Also commissioned in 2010.
If you are looking for an archipelago cruiser that sails incredibly well and is also beautifully built with lots of the finest mahogany, Katana is definitely worth a visit.
