Hallberg-Rassy 54 is one of the most elegant models from the Hallberg-Rassy yard to hit the water. This particular 54 has had one owner since new in 2009 until 2020 when the current owner acquired her. A lovely yacht!
Hallberg-Rassy 54 replaced the successful Hallberg-Rassy 53 in 2006. Hallberg-Rassy 54 is based on a more modern hull-shape, yielding both a longer waterline and as a result higher speed through the water as well as more volume down below. The design also includes a deeper rudder, and the design overall clearly signals” more sailing”. This gives the owner a higher turn of speed, both adding to the sheer joy of sailing as well as faster passage times.
Down below you will find everything and then some. A superbly planned layout as you expect from Hallberg-Rassy. The floor is on one level throughout the boat, there is ample elbow-room as well as standing head-room throughout. There are superb cabins, a great galley, a nav-station worthy an ocean-going yacht, a walk-in engine room, and a spacious saloon including the famous Hallberg-Rassy arm-chairs.
The aft owner’s cabin is spacious with a centre-line berth, en-suite bathroom, a separate work-desk, and plenty of storage pretty much everywhere. In front of the mast there is another cabin with a double berth, a cabin that Hallberg-Rassy calls a ”Super Cabin”. In front of the Super Cabin there is a more traditional fore-peak. In the area in front of the mast there is also a large second bathroom, also serving as the day head.
The interior in this Hallberg-Rassy 54 is in teak rather than the standard mahogany. Absolutely stunning. The list of equipment is long, see details in the separate list of equipment via the link above. With the generous tankage added to the complete list of equipment, you can easily spend long times, covering long distances aboard without the need to make port. Great for trips both near and far.
Thanks to the Hallberg-Rassy concept of “push-button sailing”, with hydraulic sail handling and electrical winches, the yachts is easily handled by one person when underway. A Volvo Penta D4-180 coupled with a bow-thruster makes manoeuvring simple and safe. Additionally, the two-geared Gori-propeller gives both great manoeuvring as well as added range using the propeller’s second gear under way in calmer waters.
This Hallberg-Rassy 54 has lived a charmed life in the Baltic Sea from new until 2020, when the current Owner acquired her. She has always been very well cared for, spending her Winters indoors and the summers in her own marina outside Stockholm. The boat was in great shape when the current owner acquired her in 2020, bug is arguably even in greater shape today, this after a thorough update in its current ownership. The current owners have sailed her from Stockholm to the Mediterranean, and from the there to the Canary Islands in order to participate in the 2024 ARC. A Hallberg-Rassy 54 is almost always in great shape, but this is something special, having been extremely well cared for in her current ownership. I was fortunate enough to sail on another boat in the 2024 ARC, and I met Aglaia and her crew both before the start and after arriving in St Lucia. Following the start, she rather quickly slipped away and I lost sight of her until we arrived in Rodney Bay, St Lucia. She is indeed a fast and very well behaved yacht.
Information about the model can be found on the Hallberg-Rassy home page, https://www.hallberg-rassy.com/yachts/previous-models/hallberg-rassy-54/
This beautiful Hallberg-Rassy 54 is ready to continue realizing dreams for her next, discerning owner!
