Hallberg-Rassy 42E is admired for its clean flush deck. A large number of 42Es have sailed around the world. The boating magazine Båtnytt wrote the following in issue 11 of 1980: The new Hallberg-Rassy 42E is the flagship of the Swedish boat industry. One cannot sail more majestically. Sailing across the oceans with this magnificent ship should be a true delight!

Hallberg-Rassy 42E is one of the beautiful flush-decked Hallberg-Rassy models designed by Olle Enderlein based on Christoph Rassy's ideas of what a long-distance cruiser should look like. The concept has proven to be brilliant, and Hallberg-Rassy has a solid reputation worldwide and can be seen in all ports where long-distance sailors meet when routes cross.

What strikes one is how strong the concept that Hallberg-Rassy stands for is, fundamentally remaining the same even today with very few changes, although each new generation is, of course, refined and modernized. However, the basic concept remains, both well-proven and strikingly functional. On board a Hallberg-Rassy, you get all this experience with proven solutions as a guaranteed part of the concept.

Charida number 32 of a total of 255 built is a boat that has been well cared for by its 2 previous owners. With a replaced engine, a Volvo Penta D2-55F with 434 hours on the clock, and a replaced teak deck, vacuum-glued by Ellös Teakservice in 2007. Naturally, there are some scuffs and scratches. The boat was recently inspected and is considered to be in good condition for its age. With its bow thruster, the boat maneuvers smoothly in harbors. All seacocks and ball valves were replaced in 2017.
