Halberg-Rassy 31 MK1 (Scandinavia). One of Hallberg Rassys most popular models ever built. Second owner selling.

The Hallberg-Rassy 31 was built for 18 years from 1992 - 2009 in a total of 356 units. That is one of the longest production runs in Hallberg-Rassy's history. 306 of those were the MK I version. The Hallberg-Rassy 31 is a true Hallberg-Rassy, with the same high level of quality, elegance and attention to details as in her larger sisters.

A Hallberg-Rassy 31 MK1 doesn't really need a special presentation. A boat that invites you to a long stay on board. Everything in this Hallberg-Rassy is carefully thought through. From rigg and sail features, deck layout to cockpit and interior design, everything is thought of to create comfort and space where needed.

The fixed HR windshield with the special sprayhood provides a good protection in the deep cockpit. The sails are operated from the cockpit, which means safe sailing in all conditions. And in port, the bespoke cockpit extension cover offers a large "veranda", which provides shelter and extra space also on a rainy day.

The relatively wide teak decks makes it both safe and easy to move back and forth to the bow even under sail.

Hallberg Rassy 31 has a slim hull, which together with the relatively high mast generates really good speed under sail. An HR-31 is a very well-balanced boat that generate comfortable movement through he seas and is easy to sail.  And if there is no wind, or if the wind is against, you have the trusty Volvo Penta with a three-blade propeller to cruise you safely forward.

Below deck there is a classic interior with an L-shaped pantry to port. Of course, with double sink with cold and hot water, a stove with oven, and a large refrigerator with icebox as well as a sea water tap. Aft of the pantry is a large and spacious aft cabin. Plenty of space for storage with shelves and wardrobe. To starboard you find the navigation table as well as the entrance to a large heads with shower.
At the center of the boat is the relatively large and spacy saloon with a seating comfort that is hard to beat for a boat of this size. Good space for storage in cabinets and shelves.  The saloon can easily be transformed into two good sleeping quarters.
In front of the salon you will find the cozy front cabin with plenty of room for two.

The owners, who are second owners since 2006, go ashore. He has continuously maintained and updated the boat with, among other things, the following:  new sails, ZipPack, new Webasto heater, new 3-blade VP folding propel and much more. (See the PDF file for equipment above).

The boat is currently on land and will be professionally prepared with, new membrane on sail drive, new bottom paint and professional polishing of freeboard and coachroof.

If you are looking for a well-maintained quality boat just to hop on board and sail away, then this is a really good example of such.
