Forgus 37

Forgus 37 is a one of many classic center-cockpit yachts built on the Swedish island of Orust. She is built to the highest standrads and is a proven long-distance cruiser in a well proven concept. A beautiful yacht from Orust.

Forgus 37 is the result of evolution of the Forgus Yacht-line. It all started with the Forgus 31, developing yachts to the exacting standrads that is followed by the yards at the Island of Orust. The Forgus 37 is in the same vein as other well.known center cockpit yachts from the area, such as the Hallberg-Rassy 36 and the Najad 373, all great yachts that you can find anywhere om the planet, typically sailed by a cruising couple with occassional guests or by a family with smaller children. The security that a well-built yacht gives is omni-present.

This Forgus 37 was originally acquired by a British sailor, sailing her to the Med. The yacht was then sold in Greece to a new owner with plans for crossing oceans. He then upgraded the yacht considerably, among other things fitting a new 54 Hp Yanmar engine. Plans then changed, and the word that the yacht might be for sale finally reached the ears of the current owner. Having planned to sail from Sweden to the Med via the European canals, the buyer turned it around, and started in the eastern Med, sailing in the Med and then back to Sweden via the canals. The draft of 1.58 with a substantial lead-keel makes the yacht suitable not only for ocean-sailing, but also for enjoying the european canals.

This is a very nice yacht. Wherever you chose to sail, whichever plans you have, the Forgus 37 will never be the limiting factor.
