Beneteau Oceanis 323

Oceanis 323 from 2007. A large and smart 32-footer from Beneteau. Very well equipped, well updated, and in fine condition.

The Oceanis 323 from the French manufacturer Beneteau is an unusually large and spacious boat in the 32-foot class. Just like almost all Oceanis models, many of the solutions are very clever and, in several ways, were a bit ahead of their time. The model was designed by Groupe Finot, taking advantage of the design work of the then current Figaro-class, and its freeboard height and maximum beam provide a large volume below deck. The headroom is an impressive 1.95 metres, and both the toilet and the aft cabin are unusually spacious. The toilet also has a separate seating area for showering and is oriented lengthwise, making it easier to use regardless of on which tack the boat is sailed.

Both the galley and the saloon are cleverly designed, and the feeling of inviting space is palpable. The interior is beautifully crafted in cherry wood, with substantial dimensions on the bent laminated edges and lovely cupboard doors, in many ways more like craftsmanship than on boats manufactured today by the "big brands".

This particular example is in good condition, is very well equipped as well as well maintained, see the list of equipment. The propulsion is provided by a Yanmar engine with a straight propeller shaft and a three-bladed folding propeller. It doesn’t get much more robust and easy to maintain than this.
