Malö 116 with extended transom from 1987, a boat built to a quality that very few yards can match. The boat is well equipped and has only improved over the years.

Malö 116 is one of the models built by Malövarvet in Kungsviken to an outstanding Orust quality and feel. This boat has the optional extended transom, which makes the boat longer and the lines prettier as well as making the lazarette roomier. She has all of Malö's trademark characteristics with the targa arch, which supports both the main sheet and the sprayhood. In addition, there is lighting in the targa arch, which turns the cockpit into a nice "outdoor room" that easily can be completely covered in bad weather.

The owner's cabin is located in the bow with a lovely centre berth, ample floor space, and plenty of stowage. There is also a small vanity with a hand basin and a mirror in forward owner’s cabin. The main saloon is very spacious and easily convertible to more berths/sea berths if desired. Behind the navigation station is the spacious toilet and behind the galley, which also has overhead lockers, is the aft guest cabin. There is plenty of stowage throughout the boat, including boxes and cupboards under the berths. Everything is planned and taken care of in a way that distinguishes the Malö yard’s sense of form and function.

In a Malö you can sail anywhere in the world in comfortable style. The draft of 1.70 m, with a more elongated keel, means that you can also enjoy the canals through Europe. In the current ownership the boat has, among other things, been sailed a round trip to Svalbard.

The boat is very well maintained and updated, including new teak deck in 2017, all electrical installations updated to a very high standard, top class autopilot, new heater, first class anchor equipment both fore and aft, new life raft, new epirb, to name a few things from this boat's extensive list of updates and equipment.
