The Hallberg-Rassy 45, the first ever designed by German Frers quickly became a reference in the Bluewater cruisers when it was launched in 1988 and 71 boats were built between 1988 to 1996. For the first time when Divinycell was used as an insulated material for the hull. This boat has a finn lead keel and sturdy hull stiffener along and cross the boat.
