The Dufour 45 Performance is the flagship of the Dufour line in which designer Umberto Felci gave the 45’s hull its distinctly Italian look, and Patrick Roséo designed the modern style accommodations. The low cabintop, sleek spring lines and clean deck layout all add up to a very attractive vessel.

The cockpit ergonomics are excellent for either singlehanded sailing or taking out guests for an afternoon or a weekend trip or race. Winch placement is just right, lines fall to hand easily, and the double-ended German mainsheet system is easily managed.

The hull is handlaid vacuum-bagged fiberglass with a PVC core above the waterline and solid laminate below, with an NPG blister-resistant gelcoat. An interior structural frame reinforces the hull. The deck is injection molded with a PVC core.

This Dufour 45 Performance has the three-cabin layout, with a giant owner's accommodations forward and twin cabins aft. The owner's cabin has a nice-sized double berth, a seat with a shoe locker underneath, an ensuite head with separate shower stand, and plenty of storage space in lockers and a large drawer under the berth.

Amidships the U-shaped dining area is to port in the saloon, facing a short settee that adjoins the nav table. The L-shaped galley is also to port convenient to the companionway, and is strategically located where motion in a seaway is most subdued. The entire saloon has a warm look about it, enhanced by the varnished wood joinery and suede fabric upholstery. An additional toilet with shower is to the starboard by the companionway. Both toilets are equipped with a holding tank. The joinery and cabin sole on the 45e are Moabi, also known as African Pearwood, which resembles a light-colored mahogany, and the fit and finish of the parts are impeccable.

The owners have taken very good care of this vessel and within the last 5 years major upgrades have been made some of whice are; beautiful new vacuum glued teak decks throughout from the builders at Orust, Sweden, a total underwater hull refresh and epoxy treatment, uptimised rudder profile design, electric halyard winch, new electrics and navigation and much more.
