Modern, high quality yacht building from Najad, aft cockpit, twin wheels, and three double cabins. From 2008, and very well maintained. A proper yacht, ready to cast off!

Najad 440 AC delivers modern and beautiful lines from the pen of Judel&Vrolijk. In this yacht you will find a spacious aft cockpit with double helm stations, both with a steering wheel in carbon fibre, and three spacious double cabins down below.  440 AC is a model that continued the modernization that Najad went through in these years. The yacht is strikingly modern still, and in many ways, it is hard to find a clear competitor if you are in the market for an aft cockpit boat on this quality level and with this style. When mentioning style, it is worth pointing out the interior styling, with cues taken from a more “super yacht” oriented design language with all details from the upper echelon in quality and style.

With the aft cockpit on this model, you have spacious and well laid out cockpit, making it convenient to move about the cockpit, both from the helm stations and forward, as well as back to the swim platform and all the rest in the aft sections of the yacht.

A large section of the cockpit is easily enclosed with en extension to the sprayhood, essentially making this a canvas substitute for a hard top. As it possible to sail the boat with this up, longer passages in cold and/or wet weather becomes surprisingly comfortable. The instrumentation and controls onboard also make it possible to sail the boat from the covers of this sprayhood extension.

The yacht is rigged with a three-spreader carbon fibre mast from Nordic Mast, rod rigging, and a furling boom from Furlerboom. All cockpit winches are electric, the Furlex is electric, and there is  fast, and easy boat to sail shorthanded. Speed, safety, and comfort are all guiding principles here.

The deck and the coach roof are covered with beautiful teak, maintained to the highest standard, which is very evident from just looking at it. On the stern there is a radar pole where antennas are mounted  in addition to the radar dome. Additionally, there are davits holding a Suzumar 270 RIB, the perfect tender for the Najad 440 AC.

Below decks, there are three spacious double cabins, a well-organized galley with ample stowage, two bathrooms, both with electric toilets and showers, and an inviting salon, where you will find the nav stations with its controls on the starboard side. Elegant mahogany and elegant padded panels,, as well as leather clad, stainless steel handholds, are all part of the superyacht inspired styling that greets you as you step below.  Worth mentioning is the upholstery and especially the mattresses in all cabins. These are borderline a work of art with their pocket springs, as well as well-ventilated bottom layer of Cocos fibre, a layer of natural latex on top of the pocket spring layer, and all topped off with eight cm top mattresses. Comfortable sleep is pretty much a guarantee. The forward master berth lifts on gas struts to reveal a large stowage underneath, very easily accessible in this way.

The yacht has been winterized indoors in a heated storage, something that clearly has a positive impact on the condition she is in. If you are in the market for a three-cabin aft cockpit yacht in 44 feet size bracket built to the highest standards, it does not get any better than this.
