Many sailors know that some of the best boat building crafts come from Orust on Sweden's east coast a little north of Gothenburg.
This also applies to this Najad 360 from 1989 which appears to be a very fine and well-kept example of what the Swedish boat builders can achieve. The boat has everything required for a safe and comfortable family sailing. The sails are rolled out and into the mast and on the Furlex. When you have to pull home the sails, you can choose to use the electric 46” Andersen winches. Anchoring is done manually in front and electric windlass aft.
Navigation is done safely with Raymarine plotter and radar and all other instruments incl. AIS transponders us autonomously. A Garmin plotter in front of the helmsman is connected to the other instruments. A VHF with DSC in the cockpit and also at the chart table.
If the wind fails, there is a Volvo Penta 2003T that brings you safely into port, and when the "nose" needs a turn in the right direction, a powerful bow thruster can give the final push.
For shelter, there is a traditional layout made possible by a center cockpit design that provides a very spacious aft cabin that is accessed via the pantry which has oven, fridge and freezer, as well as double sinks. Midships there is a bathroom with electric toilet and the possibility of establishing a shower. Furthermore, there is a card table, as well as two sofas and a large table, as well as plenty of storage space. Sofas can be converted into extra bunks. The foreship has two berths with cabinets both starboard and port. There is cold and hot water and oil heater to provide the best comfort.
All in all, you will feel really comfortable in this Najad. The mahogany interior is made in the best craftsmanship quality with a wealth of beautiful details that are hard to find similar to.
On the deck there is plenty of space to sunbathe on a very nice teak deck or enjoy sailing from a deep and safe cockpit.
