Hallberg-Rassy 36 is a fantastic yacht for most any purpose. It is a solidly built boat with lines that gives its owner pleasure. The Hallberg-Rassy 36 is sure to care for its crew in any weather with its very sea-kindly hull. It really has all you need for weekend-sailing, as well as weeks or years onboard. Bog enough for the seven seas while at same time nimble enough for castal sailing and for venturing into any archepelago. With a draft of 1,70 m, the European channels, taking you to the Med for example, is another exciting option open for an owner of a Hallberg-Rassy 36.
The Hallberg-Rassy has everything that one expects from a proper "Orust yacht". Its hull-lines, drawn by German Frers, gives the boat real beauty, and combined with the classic styling, the boat is easy to recognize as one of the Hallberg-Rassy classics. The hull also gives the Hallberg-Rassy 36 more than respectable speed, making passages a pleasure. This is truly a superb 36-footer for a couple with occassional guests or a family with two children. This example of the HR 36 has one of the berths in the aft cabin widened as standrad, making it an even better double.
One owner since new, originally delievered in the UK, she now sails in swedish waters since 2009, where its owners have enjoyed the boat in the summer and stored her indoors in a heated shed during winter. In 2013 the mast was replced with a Seldén Furlin mast, as the owners felt it easier to handle than the mast slab-reefing that the boat was originall delievered with. The old mast was then conveniently sold to a boat that had been dismasted.
When getting anew mast, the owners took the opportunity to get a slightl higer mast and a longer boom, enhancing the perfomance in light airs. New sails in cruisning laminate were ordered at the same time. Handling of the mainsail can be done without leaving the cockpit, which is somewhat rare on a Rassy.
This is a great opportunity to acquire a Hallberg-Rassy 36 Mk II. Let the dream become reality!SPECS
